ALRIGHT SIT THE FUCK DOWN PEOPLE BECAUSE I’M GONNA TELL YOU A STORY

I originally reblogged this on January 18th, 2014, not expecting anyone to actually respond. Yes, I fucking searched my archive to find it so I could tell you this.

But you know who replied? Tumblr user the-uterus, at the time a gender-questioning male who was super duper cute (still is duh) and later came out as a transgender woman in mid-February. And the answers were PERFECT. We kept talking, and we found out we were less than two hours away from each other, which wasn’t so bad because I have a car (and now she does too). The messaging on Tumblr turned into texting. Then skyping. We decided to meet up to cuddle. One thing led to another and we both confessed that we had crushes on each other two days before our meet-up.

I drove to her university on January 31st, and I swear to god I wanted to kiss her as soon as I saw her. It was love at first sight. We both felt the same way. We went back to her room and watched a bunch of Bob’s Burgers and Sherlock, we ate pizza, we went to hang out with some of her friends for a bit. We held hands. She kissed my cheek a bunch (I made a corny pun and she pretty much HAD to then) and even on the forehead while out in the middle of the cold night.

At around 1:35 am on February 1st, she asked me out. I said yes. I laid on her lap, and she leaned over and kissed me for the first time. You know the cliche about sparks and shit? I felt that. It felt so right. And then we made out for a couple of hours and it was awesome.

Now, ten months later, we’re each other’s best friend and we’re more in love with each passing day. The honeymoon phase never has to end. Something that actually is a benefit of a long-distance relationship is that we are forced to develop more of an emotional connection.

I love her so much, and if it wasn’t for Tumblr or this post (or the fact that I decided to reblog it) I would never have met my soulmate.

I just wanted to tell you the story. True love exists. It might just be on the other side of a screen.
